From this term, our Friday sessions at Dartington Village Hall will be expanding to 2.5 hours — giving us loads more time to play, create and make brilliant theatre together.
We’ll be covering a huge range of theatre skills, including:
🎶 singing
💃 dance
🎭 character & scene work
🐸 puppetry
⚔️ stage combat
AND (drumroll please…) we’ll be starting rehearsals for our end-of-year show: Once Upon A Heist
We can’t wait to welcome back our current company members, and we’d love to spread the word to invite new young performers aged 9–18 to join us. If you know a child or teen who loves performing (or wants to give it a go), please pass this on!

Once upon a heist
autumn 2026: The barrel house ballroom
Imagine the scene: Ms de Wolf and her infamous crew, including the famous dancer Queenie Heart, have been raking in the chips at the Wolf inc Casino for decades.
But, on the other side of the neighbourhood, the biggest heist in history is being planned. Headed up by the best cons in town. Alison Wonderland and Belle the Beast have to pull together the perfect team. Will The Hair be available? Or is she still locked up in HMP The Tower? And what about The Princess? Will she join the crew?
Meanwhile, Detective Boots – code name Puss – and her plucky partner DC Cindy Rella, have received a tip off. Will they catch the cons in time?
In this deadly game of cat and mouse, will the sleuths stop to the heist? Will the con be on? Or will de Wolf win again?
VOX Theatre School is on the hunt for more brilliant characters to join this adventure. If you are aged 9 to 18, have an amazing imagination, a sense of fun and a favourite character you’ve always wanted to play, come and join us!

(Each role in the show will be specially written for each cast member, focusing on what they want to do. If they want to sing, we’ll write you a song, if they want to dance, we’ll choreograph a dance.
